Monthly Archives: August 2009 >We went to Pahrump today for Grandma Sherry’s “life celebration”. She will truly be missed. We are sad that we didn’t have more time with her before she lost her battle to cancer. It was nice to spend time with family. Carl’s cousins came in from California and we were able to have dinner together... >I feel MUCH better today. No fever since this morning … must be the prescriptions the Dr. put me on, the blessing Carl gave me or a combination of the two. Regardless, the test results came back and I DON’T have meningitis. He thinks that the pain where my gallbladder is might go away with... >So today I gave in and headed to the doctor. Hoping that he can figure out what is causing this fever. Last night I couldn’t get it to drop from 104.1, had really bad chills, and ached from head to toe. Luckily this morning it broke and is only hanging around 101. In the end...  >Daddy fed me a breast milk bottle for his first time, burped and swaddled me; I am so comfortable and relaxed. Preston slept from 10:30 pm to 5:00 am, ate, then slept till 7:30 am. Another great night!  >Our belts came in … Mr. Martin gave them to us. I am so excited and proudly wear my Green Belt!  >Curtis started his Freshman Year, Kasey fifth grade, Alanna fourth grade and Peyton Kindergarten. It was a very bittersweet morning. Carl was wonderful about being apart of their first day of school. Peyton loved having lunch with friends afterwards. All in all a VeRy good day!  >Today Carl did an amazing job blessing our sweet Preston ~ Thank You Love!!! Afterwards family came back to our house and we had Frito Burritos and Chocolate Chip Cookies ~ Yummy!  >We went to the potluck in the park so Peyton could receive his advancement from Yellow to Orange Belt. He was excited because this is the first time that Curtis, Kasey, and Alanna are with us to see him advance. Too bad it was a VERY windy day and we couldn’t stay at the park...  >Today Peyton tested for his Green Belt. He was focused, had loud kihaps, and did awesome! He was really excited that Curtis, Kasey and Alanna were all there to see him test this time. Peyton is so excited at the opportunity to start sparring once he earns his green belt.  >Jen and I took the girls shopping so Kasey, Alanna and Madison could pick out matching shirts. It was a long process trying to get 3 girls to all agree on a shirt or at least a style. They had fun and are excited to be able to coordinate on the first day of school....  >Peyton is a fantastic helper … always ready to do his chore. Today he was responsible for vacuuming the bedrooms. He did a WONDERFUL job! Way to go Peyton ~ We appreciate you!!! >Kookles Nursing Cover GUEST GIVEAWAY!!!! Check it out … these are AWESOME!!!  >Preston had his bath, boob, burp, and binky … he is now ready for bed. He actually slept from 10:30 pm to 3:30 am then again till 7:30 am. (night of 8/18/2009)  >Anyone who knows me REALLY well, knows that I have a thing for feet … especially little ones.  >Went to change Preston’s diaper and his cord had fallen off and was inside his outfit.  >Dad is a “genius” … he has transformed Preston’s seat and swing that used to take expensive batteries into electric so we can now plug them into an outlet and use power. He taught me how to use his drill and let me take out the screws for him .. He is an awesome dad.  >This morning Preston was circumsized. He did really well during the procedure … took his breast milk from a bottle like a champ. This afternoon, he was definately in some pain. Trying to keep him in a position that he is comfortable and just keep him happy! I feel bad for him now, but think... |
