Preston got a birthday package from Grandma Zina. It was perfect … mints, books and a coloring book (those are a few of his fav’s right now). THANK YOU Grandma!
Monthly Archives: July 2011Julie invited us to hang out at her house today. After running my errands, I stopped at Chick-fil-a and picked up lunch. The boys had already eaten a hot dog and chips which I bought from the hot dog vender outside the DMV so all they wanted was ice cream. What was I thinking? I...  Preston is SO into Toy Story and has been. He has just learned that he can make Buzz “fly” and has been throwing him. It’s cute, but problem is that Peyton keeps getting hit with him. So after talking about it several time, Buzz was taken away for a bit. Poor Preston was sad  This is the smile you get from this precious one when he sees that you are baking brownies.  Peyton really hit it off at church with another boy his age. Tyler came over and play ALL day today. Why I took a photo of their lunch and not them, I’m not sure? Regardless though, they had a blast … played wii & xbox, rode bikes, and watched a movie. I’ve never been on the receiving end of being friend-shipped after moving to a new state. Before this I didn’t know how important it could be for someone. This move has been a bit emotional for me to say the least, although I have tried to hide that from my husband and kids. Julie called...  Preston has been throwing up with fever. He is the happiest in a bubble bath, which is the easiest place to clean up after him. So his little fingers and toes ended up looking like tiny shrunken raisins, but his spirits were happy. I loved his many different facial expressions as we played and splashed...  Today is Carl’s birthday. He spent the day at work and then we had a great dinner with the boys at The Cheesecake Factory. I wish all the kids would have been able to celebrate with us. We miss them like CRAZY!!!  Today was fun & mostly relaxing. We took the kids to Dunkin Donuts to start the day, spent most the morning at Car Max to see if they had a car that fit our needs. We took a break for lunch, Fat Daddy’s, (not our favorite but it was ok) and then back to Car...  It was time to get out of the house for a bit. I took the boys swimming and to the community park. They had a blast, tired themselves out, and I enjoyed the fresh air and much needed sun.  Preston was helping daddy get the hanging shelf hung in the boys room. He has become his dadd’s little shadow over the last few months. He is getting too big … I wish I could slow the hands of time!  The house is coming along great. Things are getting put away where they belong. I really don’t want a house with clutter or where things are just put in a place for the sake of it. Let’s see if I can keep up at this pace and just get it done  There are only so many hours that one can spend in a house unpacking and organizing. We took a break, shopped at Target, Lowes and then ate a delicious dinner at TGI Fridays. The balloons were the boys favorite part of the night. Preston got a fishing pole with a baby fish on the hook...  The kids bathroom is set up and tidy. How long do you think it’ll last? Think it’s possible for the rest of the house to be this organized and in order?  I think we are already getting used to the fact that one minute there are clear skies and the next it is pouring. We got SOAKED getting from our back door to the truck … which was just feet away. Pizza Hut & Dairy Queen were worth getting soaked!!!  The bugs here are the biggest I’ve ever seen. We were unloading the truck and turned around to find this (luckily dead) bug on one of the bins. I should have slipped a quarter next to it to show it’s actual size. I don’t have the prettiest feet, but the bugs sure do enjoy bitting... Here are some random pics during the past week … A HUGE thanks to those that helped pack, load, watch our kids and make room for us to bunk at your place.  We spent the last few days in Vegas with Trista and Jason. The kids enjoyed it, I couldn’t have gotten through the move without their help. Hopefully they weren’t scratching their eyes out by the time we left. |
