It was FUN to watch Alanna hang out with her friends, chit chat and make donuts. They enjoyed the company & the donuts. I love these girls and the fact that they are so respectful and nice to even the boys when they are here.
Monthly Archives: February 2012 I am not sure Preston will ever tire of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Right now he prefers Octonauts, but still comes back to Mickey Mouse  Preston is VERY much a daddy’s little boy. He loves to walk around in his dad’s shoes {literally} and he finds it hilarious to snag his dad’s hat, put it on and say “my hat”. It’s turned into their game. I LOVE IT!!!  I ADORE the way our boys share with each other. Peyton is always aware if he has something that Preston may not. In turn, Preston hasn’t yet started throwing fits if he’s told to share … he just does it! So SWEET!!!  The kids had a day off school for teacher workday. What a better way to spend the day then at the beach? The drive was exceptionally enjoyable, the kiddos played on their ipad, we listened to music and talked the entire way there and back. We relished the time we had together, running on the...  It FINALLY snowedEven if it was only for an evening … it finally snowed! I am thankful that we let the kids play in it while it lasted. Can you tell they were happy to see the white stuff?  We are down in the dumps that Tye, Tom & Jake are leaving … we wish they could stay, if even for another day. The week they were here FLEW by WAY too FAST! We will MISS them  It was SOOO good to watch Preston and Jake play this week. We will miss Tye, Tom and Jake when they leave to go home … I wish they could have stayed longer  Poor baby is still not feeling well; started out as a slight cough and has slowly progressed. No fever and he runs and plays, but the cough and congestion was making me nervous. Off to the doctor we went this morning. The doctor could hear fluid in the lungs so she sent us for a...  We enjoyed dinner at Red Robin tonight … just the adults, since our time with Tye & Tom is nearing it’s end. I wish they could stay another week, but I guess they have a life to get back to, right? Dinner was good, dessert was divine. I will cherish the memories we created until...  This is what it looks like after I have helped cut and sort boxtops … three hours well spent  This is what an iphone looks like after it is knocked off the back of a couch onto hardwood floors  EVERY time we eat at Assagios the kids BEG for me to take their picture on the wall … tonight I finally did. Not sure of why it was a big deal to them, but I had to reason to say no. Happy Kids = Happy Mom!!!  Today was a day of love and laughter. It’s VALENTINE’S DAY …. WHEEEEEW HOOOOOO! To say that I LOVE this day is an understatement. The kiddos woke up and were so excited to find their treasures. The journals and tickets were a HIT! They couldn’t stop talking about when they could use their tickets with...  I CAN’T WAIT to see our kiddos faces in the morning when they get the first of their surprises … I’m tired; have a great night and remember to express your love tomorrow!!!  Tomorrow night will be busy with a short break between piano lesson and activity girls. Carl and Tom planned a special dinner date tonight and it was FABULOUS from the soup to the filet as well as the cheesecake. I overate, laughed too many times to count, enjoyed the company and was reminded how spoiled...  Alanna has become so confident around horses in such a short time. I was thrilled to see her go into the field, find her horse, and leed it into the barn. She knows exactly what she is supposed to do and does it well. She LOVES Miss Nancy, her horse and riding. I’m delighted she...  The kids jump up and down anytime they receive something in the mail. Tonight was no different … they opened a package from Grandma Zina. Our kids are so stinkin’ cute if I do say so myself.  Preston’s face was priceless this morning as he opened his gift from Grandma Slack. He repeated over and over, “Buzz, Woody, Toy Story”. He loves them and wasn’t very happy when I put them in the washing machine. I’ll post a picture of his bed all made up with his new fantastic bedding. Think this...  These are the journals our kiddos will get for Valentine’s Day. I’ve been writing at least one entry a day (in each child’s book) expressing the thing(s) I love / appreciate about them. My hope is in those moments when they are feeling down or doubting themselves, it will be a place they can turn...  I ADORE how REMARKABLE my daughter is. Alanna received a package from her dad and LOVED it all. Can you tell?  Freezer meals have become a MUST in our house. The shopping, putting groceries away and then cooking has become my “normal”. It makes for a REALLY LONG day, but then the next couple weeks are totally worth it. I LOVE being able to pull dinner from the freezer and toss it in the crock-pot or...  Are you as excited as I am? I don’t think it’s possible. I finally got around to ordering new business cards. I mean we have been here seven months and my phone number has changed … it was overdue right?
